Service · Drilling

Know the ground first.

Soil borings, rock coring, monitoring wells and test pits — run with our own rigs and our own crews, so the schedule does not depend on a subcontractor's calendar.

01
The Brief

Everything above grade is a bet on what the borings said.

Foundation design, excavation support, dewatering and environmental liability all trace back to a handful of holes in the ground. Get the subsurface investigation wrong and every decision downstream inherits the error.

We own and operate our drilling fleet across the Tri-State area and South Florida, with crews who log their own samples and a laboratory in the same firm that tests them. One chain of custody, start to finish.

Our Quality. Runs Deep.

02
Capabilities

What we drill.

Geotechnical and environmental drilling on sites from open lots to occupied buildings with eight feet of headroom.

01
Soil borings
Standard penetration testing with split-spoon sampling, logged and classified by our own field personnel.
ASTM D1586
02
Rock coring
Diamond-bit coring with recovery and RQD logging to establish sound rock for end-bearing foundations.
NQ · HQ core
03
Monitoring wells
Installation, development and abandonment of groundwater monitoring and piezometer installations.
Environmental
04
Limited-access drilling
Track and portable rigs for basements, cellars, occupied buildings and sites with restricted headroom.
Restricted access
05
Test pits & probes
Machine test pits, hand augers and probes for shallow investigation and utility clearance.
Shallow
06
Instrumentation & monitoring
Inclinometers, settlement points and vibration monitoring installed alongside the investigation.

How a boring is run

Four steps from mobilization to the filed boring log.

Every depth, sample and N-value on a Universal boring log comes from this sequence.

    Deliverables

What comes out of the hole.

    LOG
    Boring logs
Stratigraphy, blow counts, recovery and groundwater, logged in the field and drafted to scale.
    LAB
    Laboratory results
Classification, gradation, consolidation and strength testing performed in our own laboratories.
    PLAN
    Boring location plan
Surveyed locations and elevations tied to the site plan, not paced off a property line.
    REPORT
    Geotechnical report
Foundation recommendations and design parameters sealed by a licensed engineer.
    WELL
    Well records
Construction diagrams, development records and regulatory filings for each installation.
    PERMIT
    Permits & clearances
Drilling permits, utility mark-outs and street occupancy handled before the rig mobilizes.
    04
    How We Work

    Cleared, drilled, logged, sealed.

Owning the rigs means the sequence below runs on our schedule, not a subcontractor's.

    01
    Permits & utility clearance
Drilling permits, mark-outs and street occupancy are resolved before mobilization, with private utility locating where required.
    02
    Access & setup
We match the rig to the site — truck, track or portable — so restricted headroom and occupied buildings are not an obstacle.
    03
    Drilling & sampling
A field geologist or engineer logs the hole as it is drilled and recovers samples under chain of custody.
    04
    Laboratory & analysis
Samples go to our own accredited laboratories for classification and strength testing — no handoff to a third party.
    05
    Engineering & closure
A licensed engineer interprets the data into design parameters, and every hole is grouted and closed to regulation.

The cheapest boring program is the one that does not have to be repeated after the excavator finds something else.
